Best for: Red-carpet style
“Glam” is the best word to describe the selection of dresses at Sorella Boutique. From figure-flattering House of Deréon gowns (designed by Beyoncé's mom) to elegant one-shoulder frocks from Dave & Johnny, these are the farthest thing from dull.

In these trying retail times, shop owners must find creative ways to attract customers—and Charlene Mulholland and Jeanine Sherry, sisters and partners in Media's Sorella Boutique, have done just that, converting their shop's lower level into the Prom Lounge. To court younger shoppers, they've filled the space with trendy looks from designers like Tony Bowls and Atelier Alyce—gowns you won't find just anywhere, including King of Prussia Mall. more
Media's sweet sister-owned, affordable Sorella Boutique has added a prom lounge to the store's lower level, giving doe-eyed girls a place to browse reasonably priced dresses in trendy styles from N.Y. and L.A designers you won't find in department stores. Because, holy Gossip Girl, who wants to show up at the prom in a dress another girl is wearing?
Sorella Boutique was featured in the December 2008 issue of Lucky Magazine.
"This charming pastel-walled shop along Media's main drag is beloved for its handmade jewelry and the flirty, feminine pieces from Hale Bob, Ella Moss, Velvet and more."

Sorella Boutique - With Delaware County blood running through their veins, sisters Charlene Mulholland and Jeanine Sherry have a pretty good grasp of what their clientele want in their closets—and where a boutique owner has to go to get it. Most of their finds come from the West Coast, a favorite shopping destination of these sibs, who stock their popular boutique with clothes that are less conservative than what you typically find on the Main Line. Along with big names, Sorella stocks newer lines like Sworn Virgins, eco-friendly clothing made from bamboo. Stay ahead of jewelry trends with gorgeous, colorful necklaces in delicate and chunky designs from Robert Rose, Charles Albert and Smart Glass. Also check out the unique handmade jewelry embellished with pearls and semiprecious stones. 23 E. State St., Media; (610) 566-2393, sorellashop.com.
Two sisters switch careers from healthcare to fashion.
Media, PA - Sorella, a hip women's clothing boutique opened in Media on September 15, 2006. The aptly named Sorella (Italian for sister) is the creation of sisters Charlene Mulholland (a nurse) and Jeanine Sherry (a dietitian). After 20-plus years in their respective healthcare fields, the two have traded scrubs and labcoats for premium denim and trendy tops. "We wanted to give area women access to great clothes, accessories and fashion advice in a beautiful, welcoming environment."
Sorella (23 East State Street) is the latest addition to the marvelously refurbished State Street in Media. Owners and sisters, Charlene Mulholland and Jeanine Sherry have created a fashion haven for style-savvy women of all ages. Sorella provides an alternative to the mundane mall experience and eliminates the need for fashion-deprived locals to travel to King of Prussia for anything out-of-the-ordinary. After fufilling yet demanding careers in healthcare, the two were ready to embark on a new venture that filled an obvious need in the local community and allowed them to work together doing something fun.
Charlene Sherry Mulholland has lived in Wallingford and Media her entire life, and has been a registered nurse with Crozer-Chester Medical Center for over 25 years. Jeanine Sherry grew up in Wallingford then spent 20 years in Richmond Virginia as owner of a consulting firm providing nutrition and wellness expertise to the food industry and the media. A move to Seattle 5 years ago allowed Jeanine to pursue her love of fashion by becoming involved with a friend's clothing boutique and the design of her own line of handcrafted jewelry. Charlene runs the Media store day to day, while Jeanine will continue to reside in Seattle scouring the West Coast for the latest fashions and traveling "home" regularly to see what the women of Media would like her to find on her next buying trip.
Fashionistas and soccer moms alike will find unique career and casual clothing along with exquisite accessories in a wide range of prices.
